West Elk Wilderness Outfitters Begins 3rd Year

John Nelson and Gary Ballard partnered up to form the West Elk LLC in 2004. In 2005 West Elk LLC completed the purchase of the former outfitting business and has become the designated U.S. Forest Service special use permit holder. This permit area is considered to be one of the best hunting areas in the West Elk Wilderness and is one of the few permit areas there that is accessible with abundant game herds during the late rifle seasons. We are fortunate to have the former outfitter and his top guide working with us in our camp and we have had high success rates from the start. We offer a top quality wilderness hunting experience from a comfortable heated tent camp. We are doing business as West Elk Wilderness Outfitters (Reg. #2411). It’s called the West Elk Wilderness for a reason. The wild country is there and so are the elk. Plan to join us for a great time.
